There are many websites, electronic newsletters, and blogs (yes, other blogs beyond this one exist!) that will aid you in your job search. As with most things, your mileage may vary, but here are some of the tools I think may bring some value to your search:
Although more focused on technical jobs. This website is full of great tips. There is also a twice monthly meetup on Wednesdays at the Brier Creek Barnes & Noble.
Lots of good information and resources updated daily.
Not the most attractive of websites, but chock full of good information, articles, and job leads aimed at the job seeker over 40.
Though their service for jobs is pricey, their advice is free. And it is some of the best advice out there. There are articles, an electronic newsletter, and career and interview coaching advice. Go and explore – you do not have to sign up for anything to just read!
An inexpensive ($10/month) pay for service that allows you to enter your resume information into their database and format it into a variety of presentations. Additionally, through cookie technology, you are able to track the progress of the resumes you send out – are they opened? forwarded?
